`Week 12 Scan (NT Scan)

Finally waited for so long for the week 12 visit... was so worried the past few weeks coz haven been feeling any kicks or movements from baby and my tummy not exactly showing any bump too... so kena paranoid... My appetite was getting slightly better too and this unfortunately also added onto the paranoid lor...

Until the instant when the baby is shown on the scan screen, all the worried are gone.
We have also decided to let Rhys come along this time, hoping that he can get excited over seeing the new baby... BUT... apparently, we forgot that he is too young to understand what are the black black thing on the screen so he totally focus on my ifone thruout the scan... haha...

Baby Rae was so cute... when we first saw her on screen, she was sitting upright, leaning on the wall of the womb... so comfortably seated... then suddenly as if she saw us peeping at her, she JUMPED and bounced, with her arms swinging in the air... she is like playing bouncing ball inside me... so cute...

Baby Rae is growing fine, now 12W2D, 6.3cm...
Doctor did the NT scan and managed to measure and indicate his nasal bone, stomach, bladder etc, even shown us her smile from the scan.
But when doctor want to measure the most impt thing, her neck skin, she just slide down and lie on the womb making it difficult for doctor to measure... we tried shaking her again and again until she shifted a bit... thankfully, the measurement is normal.

Doctor asked if we wanted a girl this time round and I asked her back whether can we find out the gender now... Doc said can peep lah... but baby now a bit too small.. most likely next visit at 16weeks should be able to see... so exciting...

But somehow deep inside I just got the feeling that baby Rae is going to be a boy... although I really hope to get a girl though... then again, a baby brother will make Rhys a happy brother... haha... he wanted a brother so much... until he say if is mei mei, he want to beat the baby! Alamak... but actually, as long as baby is healthy and everything went smooth... any one will do lah...

Before the end of visit, blood was drawn for the OSCAR test and results will be out by Next tuesday... hopefully everything will be good...

Oh, and doc told me "Try NOT to work too hard..." haha... how to do that when I am stuffed with so much work!!! sigh...

Now I just hope the blood results came back ok and I WANT TO FEEL THE BABY KICK!!!!!!
Oh... and I drop 1 more kg!! haha... my weight drop while baby grows... PERFECT!!!
